Alternative Education Program: Principal
- Pennsylvania Principal K-12 Certification required
- Evidence of strong leadership skills
- At least 3 years of administrative experience preferred
- Experience working with at-risk and /or marginalized youth
- Knowledge of AEDY policies and procedures
- Foundational and working knowledge of restorative practices in schools and communities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and trauma-responsive practices
- Knowledge and understanding of social justice theory and the victim cycle of community violence and it relates to students, staff, families and the community.
- Excellent communication and organizations skills
- Knowledge of special education law
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible
- Ability and experience working as a member of a team
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Classroom, PowerSchool, Schoology, Teams, Zoom and Outlook, and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies
Additional Requirements:
- Current Act 114, Act 34 and Act 151 required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).
- School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340 (8/2011)) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
