Early Head Start: Home Based Visitor, Wilkinsburg
Education:
· Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree.
Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children (birth to 5 years old) and families, ideally in a Head Start, early childhood, or social services setting
· Experience in home-based service delivery or case management is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Knowledge of early childhood development, family dynamics, and parenting practices.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to build trusting relationships with families.
· Organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
· Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
· Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and online data systems.
· Ability to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress across the standards described by the Office of Head Start, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners.
Additional Requirements:
1. Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR Clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).
2. School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
3. CPR and First Aid certification is required (or willingness to obtain).
