Head Start: Itinerant Teacher

1. B.A. or B.S. in Early Childhood Education/equivalent degree with experience teaching preschool aged children preferred;

OR

B.A./B.S. in a related field including 30 ECE credits with experience teaching preschool-aged children required;

OR

B.A./B.S. in Elementary Education and 18 ECE credits with experience teaching preschool-aged children required;

OR

B.A. /B.S. with ECE Certification with experience teaching preschool-aged children required

2. Knowledge and skills in the field of early childhood development

3. Knowledge of Office of Head Start Performance Standards of Early Childhood

4. Knowledge of various service resources in the community 

5. Knowledge of the state and federal regulations pertaining to child abuse and neglect and childcare licensing requirements

6. Knowledge of local resources, languages and customs
