Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary:
This position manages the full life cycle recruiting process in a busy, fast-paced environment. This role functions very independently within established guidelines, while keeping up to date on recruiting trends and technologies.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1.     Source candidates via traditional and non-traditional methods utilizing social media, AIU website, PA-Educator.net, and various job boards.

2.     Execute the full-cycle recruitment process including initial assessments, interviews, and negotiating job offers.

3.     Identify future talent needs and proactively build relationships and the network needed to generate a talent pipeline.

4.     Develop and manage external partnerships with universities, sourcing partners, and/or recruitment agencies as needed.

5.     Provide counsel and guidance to hiring managers and Human Resources about trends and talent recruitment/hiring best practices.

6.     Attract, influence, and convert hard to find passive talent.

7.     Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling interviews, travel coordination, etc.

8.     Maintain current legally compliant job descriptions for all current positions and assist manager in creating job descriptions for newly created openings.

9.     Monitor and track the effectiveness of recruiting strategies, return on investment, quality of hires, recruitment and retention data. Utilize data and metrics to enhance quality, service, and efficiency.

10.  Conduct candidate testing, background check processing, and reference checks on final candidates; ensuring results are within desirable parameters before an offer is extended.

11.  Ensure the positive portrayal of company image in all advertising and throughout candidate’s recruitment process.

12.  Prepare various recruiting status reports for management in a timely manner.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; PHR certification a plus.

2. Minimum 2 years of previous recruiting experience.

3. Ability to engage candidates by phone and/or email.

4. Aptitude in assessing intangible aspects of candidates.

5. Resourcefulness and creativity with a commitment to continuous improvement.

6. Must be highly organized and have a proven track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

7. Current knowledge of Human Resources employment laws and recruiting best practices.

8. Upbeat and positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and strong customer service orientation.

9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

10. Strong technical skills; highly proficient in Word, Excel, ATS, and HRIS programs.

11. Must possess the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost regard to confidentiality and have a commitment to excellent customer service.

12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with all levels in the organization.

13. Ability to travel.

14. Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct policy.

 

Additional Requirements:

1.      Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR clearances are required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).

2.      School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
