Long Term Substitute Biology Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities: |

1. Cover classroom. 2. Participate in staff meetings. 3. Demonstrate an understanding of alternative education curriculum and the ability to make adaptations and modifications to meet individual needs. 4. Establish positive relationships with community partners by familiarizing and respecting the unique rules of each community setting. 5. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. |
1. Valid PA certification in a Secondary Content Area required
2. Experience working with alternative education students.
3. Valid PA driver’s license and ability to travel Allegheny County required
4. Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and an ability to work with limited supervision
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible
7. Ability and experience working as a member of a team
Skilled in the use of Google Products and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook, and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies
