Mon Valley School: Assistant Principal
1. Principal K-12 Certification
2. Certification in Special Education or School Psychology preferred
3. Evidence of strong leadership skills
4. Experience supervising and evaluating professional and non-professional staff
5. Excellent communication and organizations skills
6. Knowledge of special education law
7. Expertise in the development of special education instructional services and monitoring of student progress
8. Experience working in the special education field
9. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
10. Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible
11. Ability and experience working as a member of a team
12. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook, and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies
13. Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct Policy.
Additional Requirements:
1. Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR clearances are required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).
2. School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
