Hearing Support Teacher: South Park (14) Southwood (11) West Jefferson Hills (57.5)

1. Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education required
2. PA Certification in Teacher of the Hearing Impaired required
3. Highly Qualified status in Reading and/or English desirable
4. Sign Language skills desirable
5. PA Driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel in Allegheny County
6. Ability to effectively present information and articulately respond to questions from administrators, staff, parents, students, business and educational partners, and the general public

7.      Excellent written and oral communication skills.

8.      Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible.

9.      Ability and experience working as a member of a team.

10.   Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook, and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies.

11. Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct Policy.
